The rapper was performing at the Oscars, and right after going on stage he ran into Salma. She was so surprised to meet him that she threw the water at him. Despite this fateful moment, Eminem declared for RollingStone magazine that meeting Hayek was one of the best moments of the night, but he omitted this anecdote that the same actress has told on her Instagram.
“In these images it might seem like Eminem and I are best friends, but what really happened is that as he was leaving the stage and I was preparing to enter, I was so surprised to see him that I threw water on him. If you examine the photo, I look mortified and he looks terrified of me. As he tried to clean it up, I impulsively hugged him and said, "Nice to meet you, Eminem. I'm a HUGE fan!" But she was very disappointed that she had made a fool of herself by meeting him...,” she says.
