Parliament And King Charles Confirm Removal of Prince Harry, Lilibet & Archie from the Line of Succession

Prince Harry, has earned the title of "Royal Zero of the Week." This man, once globally adored and respected, even enjoying a seat at State Banquets, has now seemingly relinquished it all.

Parliament And King Charles Confirm Removal of Prince Harry, Lilibet & Archie from the Line of Succession

His decision to step aside has allowed a failed ex-cable TV actress, who fancies herself a royal superstar, to take center stage in her own deluded mind. In light of his controversial memoir, Spare, where he hinted at taking drastic measures against his own father, it's surprising he wasn't removed from the line of succession earlier.

Prince Harry has displayed traits of deception and betrayal, putting the royal family's security at risk. One can only hope that his royal privileges are revoked and that he finds himself in the proverbial chicken coop he has made for himself. He made his bed; now he must lie in it.

It's clear that Harry’s situation is becoming increasingly precarious. Reports suggest he risks being removed from the line of succession, along with his children, Archie and Lilibet. His position as fifth in line to the throne is in jeopardy due to his permanent residency outside the UK and his lack of official royal duties. Discussions are reportedly underway at the Royal Family Summit to consider stripping Harry and Meghan of their titles and potentially altering the succession line. A source indicated that if a royal family member permanently resides outside the UK and ceases to perform royal duties, the line of succession could be adjusted by statute.

This isn't unprecedented; the succession line has been modified in the past. It’s baffling that such discussions have taken so long. When Harry and Meghan decided to step back in 2019, following Queen Elizabeth’s one-year grace period and King Charles’ allowance, everything should have been paused. Their decision to not return to royal duties by March 2020 should have led to an immediate suspension of their titles. As private citizens, their children’s positions in the succession line should have been reevaluated, particularly given that no one in the royal family has met them. The notion of American-born children in the British line of succession, with no direct connection to the royal family, is indeed extraordinary.

There is no precedent for an American-born child being in the British line of succession without a clear connection to the royal family. Harry and Meghan have demonstrated a tendency to bend the truth, which casts doubt on any documents they provide. Robert Blackburn, a professor of constitutional law at King’s College London, notes that while living abroad doesn’t automatically disqualify Harry from the succession line, Parliament could still remove him. Historical changes to the succession line have been legislated by the British government, not by the king. The situation appears to be a constant back-and-forth between Parliament and King Charles, with no clear resolution. The question arises whether King Charles has special powers in this matter or if it’s merely a matter of political maneuvering.

It's perplexing why King Charles hasn’t acted sooner, especially considering the potential stress it would cause him, given his health. This could be a strategic move to prepare the public for the eventual removal of Harry and Meghan’s titles. When King William ascends to the throne, he might handle this issue, as reports suggest he is no longer willing to tolerate Harry’s antics. William, who has dealt with Harry his entire life, might be the one to address this situation. However, since Harry is Charles’s son, it is ultimately Charles’s responsibility to address this issue. Delaying action could further damage the monarchy's reputation. The brief removal of Harry and Meghan’s titles from the Royal website felt like a small victory, and their swift reinstatement was disheartening. Shouldn’t this be a signal to King Charles that the public desires decisive action?

Moving on to my pick for Royal Zero of the Week, Meghan Markle. Victoria Beckham’s new documentary series is in production, and Netflix announced it with significant fanfare. In stark contrast, Meghan's projects have received no such buzz. It’s apparent that Victoria Beckham is capturing the spotlight, leaving Meghan behind. Ironically, Meghan once wore a Victoria Beckham shirt, only to sweat through it, which seemed like a desperate attempt to reconcile with Beckham. However, it only highlights Meghan's ongoing issues.
