Reese Witherspoon is reportedly taking a thoughtful approach to her relationship with financier Oliver Haarmann.
Though deeply in love, the actress is proceeding with caution, especially after experiencing two previous divorces. As a way to test the waters before considering marriage, Reese plans to move in with Oliver.
The 49-year-old star of The Morning Show was seen touring a luxury apartment in New York City back in March, signaling that cohabitation may be the next step. According to a source close to her, Reese has been telling friends that she's found a wonderful partner and is already talking about marriage, but she’s also listening to advice to take things slowly.
While the couple hasn’t even marked their first anniversary yet, Reese feels there’s nothing wrong with sharing a home. She believes living together will be a practical way to confirm her feelings and ensure Oliver is truly the person she envisions spending her life with.
Reese was first married in 1999 to her Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe, with whom she shares two children — Ava, now 25, and Deacon, 21. Her second marriage was to talent agent Jim Toth in 2011, and they have a 12-year-old son named Tennessee.
The insider added that Reese, having already been through marriage twice, wants to give herself a realistic perspective this time around. She sees moving in as a low-pressure way to test compatibility. If things don't work out, one of them can move out — no strings attached. But she’s optimistic it won’t come to that.
Her relationship with Oliver Haarmann first became public in July of the previous year.
