Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams hated themselves, but that's how they ended up being boyfriends

The Notebook (diary of a passion) is one of the ro--ntic films that is now considered by many as a classic within the genre. But this film keeps a dark story that nobody would imagine when you watch it on television: Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams hated working together.

But what!? If Rachel and Ryan were one of the most adorable famous couples in mid -2000! Moreover, if they even recreated their iconic kiss in the rain upon receiving an award at the MTV Movie Awards of 2005. But it is true, the actor did not support work with his co -star.

Fights, screams and ultimatums. The problem climbed so much that Gosling asked director Nick Cassavetes to take her out of the project, as the filmmaker revealed in an interview with VH1 in 2014. That's right, this was learned 10 years after the premiere of the film. What was the reason behind the actor's annoyance? He said his relationship did not work. That is, chemistry was not there.

Cassavetes was not willing to leave Rachel for a misunderstanding among artists. Other celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Biel and Ashley Judd auditioned to obtain the Allie Hamilton role. But Mcadams was ideal and the director preferred to have a small improvised therapy session so that the actors exceed their differences.

The key in her reconciliation came from Rachel, because her passion in defending her character convinced Ryan to return to work with her. And not only that, because that same year they became a couple and were together for two years (with a small and brief reconciliation time later).

But, unlike the history of Noah and Allie, they were not destined to have a rom--ce to old age. Now she is in a relationship with screenwriter Jamie Linden, with whom she became the mother of her first child in 2018. Instead, Ryan and Eva Mendes are boyfriends since 2011 and are parents of two girls.

Gosling and Mcadams ended her relationship in good terms, and even when the break was still fresh, he only had compliments for her. In truth, you will never meet such a mature and affectionate former boyfriend. The test is in what he told magazine in 2007:

Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams hated themselves, but that's how they ended up being boyfriends

Quote: I mean, Blessed is The Notebook. He introduced me to one of the greatest loves of my life. But people do not do justice to Rachel and me to assume that we looked like the people of that movie. Rachel and my love story are much more ro--ntic than that.
