She is the actress who has received the most Oscar nominations, a whopping 21, although she has "only" taken 3. She is considered the best living actress and has an incredible ability to perform all kinds of roles and accents, whether in dramas or comedies.
4. Bette Davis
She participated in more than 100 films that earned her 10 Oscar nominations, taking the award twice. She had a very distinctive style and specialized in romantic dramas and comedies. She loved playing unsympathetic women, especially if she had to give them a comedic twist.
5. Olivia de Havilland
Today she is 103 years old and is the only survivor of the classic Hollywood era, one of the protagonists of the unforgettable “Gone with the Wind”. She has been retired for more than 30 years and lives in Japan, her country of origin although she also has British nationality.
The interpretation that she gave in "The Heiress" not only earned her the Oscar, it is also remembered as one of the best female performances in the history of cinema.
6.Vivien Leigh
Her leading role in "Gone with the Wind" earned her the first of her two Oscars. She died of tuberculosis at age 54.
7.Elizabeth Taylor

She was married 8 times to 7 different men (she repeated her marriage to Richard Burton). She passed away at 79 from heart problems.
