2. Diana Ross
The singer was recognized by the White House for her music career. She was dubbed iconic and awarded the medal for her 50+ years in the industry inspiring millions.
3. Michael Jordan
He was commemorated by his basketball accolades and his years in the game that brought North America several awards.
4. Bruce Springsteen
According to the White House, he shaped American music. He has won 21 Grammy Awards, and two Golden Globes and is a member of the Rock Hall of Fame. Seriously, who in his right mind has won 21 Grammys? That already deserves a medal.
5. Ellen DeGeneres
The famous comedian from the show 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', was recognized for her work with the LGBT community and for the contributions she has made to peace in show business. Ellen, you are the cutest in the universe.
6. Cicely Tyson
She was awarded the medal for her work in the theater, although she has also done it in cinema. She looks so proud of her award, I think I'm going to cry.
