Eva Green earn 1 million dollars without shooting a single scene

Eva Green has pocketed $1 million after winning a lawsuit against the producer of a movie she never made. The actress went to court after the project was canceled, which she described as a "b-series shit movie", in addition to harshly criticizing her producer: "Pure vomit".

Eva Green had been engaged in a legal battle since last January, when she claimed $1 million from the White Lantern producer, as stipulated in her contract after the movie 'A Patriot' collapsed.

The actress and the company joined their paths in 2019 for this project, which promised to be a science fiction film, whose budget began to drop drastically after the difficulty of obtaining financing.

To her misfortune, the producers hid these clippings from her until the film, which was to be directed by Dan Pringle, failed to hold up. Along with her, the cast was to be made up of Charles Dance and Helen Hunt.

White Lantern's legal team did not sit idly by and countersued Green for claiming she caused the film's collapse: "She had no intention or desire to complete production on the film. Her demands were unreasonable." The producer's lawyer said in 2020, according to Variety.

The harsh statements in the trial of Eva Green

After three years of waiting for a sentence, finally, the 'Casino Royale actress was declared the winner of the legal process, pocketing an amount very close to a million dollars.

As might be expected, the trial was plagued with controversial and unpleasant statements by both parties, who did not hesitate to attack each other. Green herself argued that "when an actress appears in a B-movie, she is pigeonholed as a B-movie and is never offered quality work again."

Along with this, they had to make public various text messages from the protagonist of 'Dreamers' in which she described the film as "a b-series shit movie", in addition to its executive producer, Jake Seal, as "pure vomit", "sociopath" or "crazy dictator".

The judge in the case, Michael Green, supported the thesis of Eva Green's defense and ruled in favor of the artist: "He may have said some extremely unpleasant things about Seal and his team, but that was born out of a genuine feeling of concern that any film made under Seal's control would be of very low quality and would not do justice to a script she was passionate about"

For her part, the interpreter of 'Penny Dreadful' shared a post on her Instagram in which she was satisfied with the work of justice and for having taken action on the matter: "They tried to use me as a scapegoat to cover up their own mistakes. I'm proud that I stood up to their bully tactics."
