The lawsuit between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has been just as controversial in the media as that of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, because after ending their 12-year relationship, they decided to separate and divorce in September 2016.
Although it seems like an eternity the time in which Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went their separate ways, there are still differences that have not been able to be resolved and their legal battle continues, so there are new revelations.
Let's remember that when the Supreme Court rejected the actor's request in the case of custody of his children, he became the topic of conversation since he had lost against his wife, but now everything can change, because in the actor's last legal request, before the sale of Miraval, the vineyard they bought in 2008, he sued Angelina for damaging his international business reputation.
The Château Miraval, a large vineyard that the ex-couple bought 14 years ago in France, became one of the most prosperous businesses for a long time and, now according to People, in Pitt's last court filing in his legal battle with Jolie over the sale of this place, the actor says that he "tried to cause her harm" by selling his interests in the wine company, in addition to the fact that they had allegedly agreed never to sell the family business without the consent of the other.
Brad Pitt accuses Angelina Jolie of damaging her reputation in business
This Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the interpreter's legal team affirms that the vineyard grew "to become a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the most respected rosé producers in the world" and accuses Angelina of contributing "nothing to the success of Miraval".
In addition, the lawyers explain that the actress planned to sell her part in October to Tenute del Mondo, a company that wants to take control of the vineyard and is "indirectly owned and controlled by Yuri Shefler, the Russian billionaire who controls the Stoli Group". "
The filing also reads: "Jolie pursued and then consummated the alleged sale in secret, knowingly keeping Pitt in the dark and knowingly violating Pitt's contractual rights." On the other hand, it is important to note that when Jolie filed for divorce, she received authorization to sell her part.
It also explains the lawsuit that Shefler launched a hostile takeover of Miraval by trying to obtain "confidential and proprietary information for the benefit of its competing company" and explains that Shefler engages in "ruthless business tactics and dubious professional associations" which "jeopardizes the reputation of the brand that Pitt so carefully built."
The team notes that "Jolie has tried to coerce Pitt into partnering with a stranger, and worse, a stranger with poisonous associations and intent." Given this, Brad Pitt seeks damages for an amount that will be proven in the trial that takes place, which he requests by jury.
That is why Brad is suing Jolie for breach of quasi-contract, subsidiarily invoked breach of implied contract; abuse of rights under article 6-1 of the Luxembourg Civil Code; breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing; Willful interference in contractual relationships; unlawful interference with potential business relationships; and constructive trust.
