Deadpool 2 was the last Deadpool movie to star Ryan Reynolds back when 20th Century FOX still controlled the rights to the X-Men.
Enjoying incredible popularity and sharing positive reviews, Deadpool 2 features Brad Pitt, one of the best-known faces in Hollywood, who kept his cameo in the film a secret.
Pitt played the Vanisher, an unseen character who decides to join Deadpool's newly formed 'X-Force'. However, when he is thrown from a plane, he ends up entangled in power lines and is electrocuted to death. It was at that precise moment that the spectators were taken by the great surprise that it was Brad Pitt.
Speaking to Ali Plumb for BBC Radio 1, the actor gave details about his involvement in the film, noting that Deadpool 2 director David Leitch was a great friend for years and that filming his scene was one of the "things easier" than he has done as an actor.
"How was shooting that? Pretty much the easiest thing I've ever done. The director David Leitch is an old friend of mine and he used to be… He was my stunt double from Fight Club (1999) until about 2004. And then he went off and became a very good director, which is rare. Strange," Pitt notes.
Additionally, he commented that Ryan Reynolds was the one who called him to tell him the idea and he simply liked how his participation in the film would be.
Reynolds already mentioned on a previous occasion how Brad Pitt's cameo came to fruition, ensuring that the actor only asked for a ca of coffee, which was a way of saying that he would do it completely free.
