Maite Perroni's overwhelming reaction to criticism of her physical change

RBD returned to the stage with the Soy Rebelde Tour which has the fans of the group that emerged in the popular youth soap opera that was broadcast between 2004 and 2006 crazy. With the absence of Alfonso Herrera, they are Anahí, Christian Chávez, Christopher Uckermann, Dulce María, and Maite Perroni who are reviewing their greatest hits in various parts of the world.

The truth is that 15 years have passed since their Goodbye Tour, and in that time their lives radically changed for each of its members. Many formed families, had children, and even moved away a little from the popularity that those golden years had given them. And sometimes changes take their toll.

This is happening to Maite Perroni, who last May became a mother for the first time with her partner, Andrés Tovar. The actress and singer welcomed Lía a little over four months ago, so, logically, her body is not the same as it was at 20 years old, something that her fans also questioned.

In recent times there have been many offensive comments directed towards the RBD member on social networks, pointing directly to her body. They question how tight her dresses are, unlike her two other bandmates, and they say very hurtful things to her.

Given this, Maite Perroni decided to go out and respond publicly, and in an interview conducted by Primer, she expressed: "I have a lot of kilos and what does it matter? In the end, it is to embrace each other, we accept how we are, with our processes and in our moments, what better than giving life".

"It doesn't matter if you look more chubby or less chubby, with more or less, in life we go through different stages and I think we have to learn to embrace and accept how we are," added the RBD member who is really more interested be happy than to please others with their beauty stereotypes.

"We live in a world full of so many stereotypes that we suddenly have to follow... I had a personal process of returning, of taking care of myself, of being comfortable with myself, but at the same time enjoying a lot, whether there is a market or not, whether there is a double chin or No, it doesn't matter, it's the least important thing," he concluded.
