Tom Cruise wants to finish filming the film in London after several stops year due to the pandemic
Tom Cruise ordered the construction of a safe Anticovid studio to complete the filming of "Mission Impossible 7". The 58-year-old actor-producer, who is secretly having an affair with his British co-star Hayley Atwell, is spending millions to adapt a former London military base into a film set so he can finish the film.
People involved in the production of the film revealed to the British tabloid The Sun that the Hollywood megastar is determined to finish shooting soon without further costly interruptions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sources from the aforementioned outlet revealed that filming will move to the former top-secret Longcross tank design base in Surrey from Leavesden in Herts, where Cruise lashed out at members of his crew for failing to adhere to social distancing.
In the leaked audio, a furious Tom Cruise can be heard shouting at his employees: “We are creating thousands of jobs, sons of bitches. It is understood? If I see it again, you're screwed and fired, ”the actor is heard amid his anger. Five staff members resigned following the actor's rage.
Cruise, who is also a producer on the film, was very upset that all of his efforts to continue filming during the pandemic could be at risk. “We are not canceling this damn movie. Is it understood? ”Says the actor shouting in an excerpt from the audio that was delivered to The Sun newspaper by a production employee.
In another moment of the recording, the actor tells them: “I care about you, but if you are not going to help me, you are out. OK? See that rod? How many meters is that?", about the anticovid measures that he took care of establishing in the locations to avoid contagion in the cast and in the production team.
The protagonist of "Top Gun" has been responsible for designing the security protocols to return to shooting after the break they experienced during the year and that forced the premiere of the seventh installment of the film of his successful franchise to be postponed.
“He makes daily rounds to make sure everything is working properly, that people are behaving and working as safely as possible. He is very proactive when it comes to security," an insider told The Sun.
The actor has personally tried to make sure there are no further delays. He has been photographed wearing a mask on set and is constantly vigilant that his mask adheres to set protocols. He even paid $500,000 out of his own pocket for a cruise so that the cast and crew are protected during the days of filming in Norway.
Cruise has already faced two production stops in Italy due to positive cases of coronavirus. He was granted permission to resume filming in the UK in July after a personal request to Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden.
A source on the set said: “Tom and Hayley hit it off from day one. The confinement, and all the difficulties that accompanied it, brought them closer together. They've been seeing each other after work and she's been at her house in Hendon. They both seem very happy."
